Lieutenant Colonel George B. Bingham papers, 1861-1891.

Contains papers from the three month and three year musters of the 1st Wisconsin Infantry Regiment of Lieutenant Colonel George B. Bingham. The papers include a muster roll of the three month regiment, a copy of a request to the Governor of Wisconsin to muster more troops, a draft of resolutions, a printed document relating to a man found in a saltpeter mine and several other official documents relating to service during the Civil War. Also included are several documents relating to the war after 1865 including a printed map showing the route of General Sherman from Atlanta to Goldsboro, letters from former members of the regiment, and tickets, invitations and programs for several reunions for the regiment.
